One of the last members of the "false" army, the Sekihoutai, Sanosuke has a big grudge against the Meiji government. He went by the name Zanza in the underworld, fighting those who would challenge him just for the fun of it. After defeated by Kenshin, though, Sano changes his ways and becomes...your typical lazy yet kick ass street fighter ^^.
