The young and kind emperor of the country of Konan, Hotohori-sama has just a few more lil' kinks to him besides his looks. He's an awesome swordsman, and like Tamahome, he will protect Miaka at the cost of his life. This becomes the first of many love triangles appearing in the series. Eventually, though, Hotohori-sama gives up and marries a Nuriko look-a-like O_o;
